Flag Football is one of America's most exciting sports and you can get your start here at the YMCA, so huddle up‚ flag football is here!

YMCA flag football is a recreational program designed for players new to the sport of football as well as those not quite ready for tackle football.

Upcoming 2025 Flag Football Season

Registration: July 1st – August 16th
Late Registration: August 17th - August 23rd
(fees increase $10 and no guarantee of shirt)

Skills Clinic and Draft: August 23rd (1st - 6th grade)
Practices Begin: Week of September 1st

Season: September 13th - October 11th
Championship: October 18th (1st - 6th grade)

Toddler - Members: $26; Non-members: $36
Itty Bitty - Members: $34; Non-members: $50
1st - 6th Grade - Members: $39; Non-members: $54

The flag football league will be held at the YMCA, outside on Saturdays.

Toddler and Itty Bitty will be put with their teams on September 13th when they arrive. These age groups will NOT have weeknight practices or participate in the skills clinic and championship game.

1st – 6tth grade players will be contacted by their coach the week of August 25th and will begin having practices one evening a week, beginning September 1st.

Skills Clinic

  • Toddler (ages 2 - 3): None

  • Itty Bitty (age 4 – kindergarten): None

  • 1st/2nd grade: 9:00 am – 9:45 am

  • 3rd/4th grade: 11:00 am – 11:45 am

  • 5th/6th grade: 12:45 pm – 1:30 pm

Age Breakdown

  • Toddler (ages 2 - 3): 9:00 - 9:30 am

  • Itty Bitty (age 4 - kindergarten): 9:45 - 10:30 am

  • 1st/2nd grade: 11:00 am (*times subject to change)

  • 3rd/4th grade: 12:00 pm (*times subject to change)

  • 5th/6th grade: 1:00 pm (*times subject to change)

*game schedules will be distributed to 1st/2nd and 3rd/4th grade divisions after teams have been set

Our youth flag football program features:

  • One practice per week (for grade 1 and up)

  • Games on Saturdays

  • Six games per season (plus playoffs for grade 1 and up)

  • Screened and trained volunteer coaches

  • YMCA trained and screened officials

  • Sportsmanship and core values modeled and promoted

  • Focus on fundamentals and new skill development

  • All players receive equal play time

  • In-house tournament for grades 1 and up
