Hit the hardwood with the folks who invented the game - the Y!

Boys and girls develop skills including dribbling, shooting, passing, and rebounding. Youth basketball at the Y combines team play and individual skills in a fun and supportive environment.

Our youth basketball program features:

• One practice during the week (for grade 1 and up) and games on Saturdays

• Six games per season (plus playoffs for grade 1 and up)

• Screened and trained volunteer coaches

• YMCA trained and screened officials

• Good sportsmanship and YMCA core values modeled and promoted

• Fundamentals and a focus on new skill development

• Equal play time for players

• In-house tournament for grades 1 and up

Games played at the Mt. Sterling Community Center YMCA and the Rushville Fitness Center (1st-4th)

Skills Clinic and Draft (1st - 6th grades):  December 3rd

Game schedules will be distributed to 1st/2nd, 3rd/4th and 5th/6th grade divisions after teams have been set.
