Hit the hardwood with the folks who invented the game - the Y!

Boys and girls develop skills including dribbling, shooting, passing, and rebounding. Youth basketball at the Y combines team play and individual skills in a fun and supportive environment.

Our youth basketball program features:

• One practice during the week (for grade 1 and up) and games on Saturdays

• Six games per season (plus playoffs for grade 1 and up)

• Screened and trained volunteer coaches

• YMCA trained and screened officials

• Good sportsmanship and YMCA core values modeled and promoted

• Fundamentals and a focus on new skill development

• Equal play time for players

• In-house tournament for grades 1 and up

All games played at the Mt. Sterling Community Center YMCA

Skills Clinic and Draft (1st - 6th grades):  January 6th

• Toddler: None

• Itty Bitty: None

• 1st/2nd Grade: 9:00 am

• 3rd/4th Grade: 10:30 am

• 5th/6th Grade: 12:00 pm

Players will be contacted by their coaches the following week. Practices can begin the week of January 15th.

Games: January 27th - February 24th

Saturday Mornings (Times may change)

• Toddler: 9:00 am - 9:30 am

• Itty Bitty: 9:45 am - 10:30 am

• 1st/2nd Grade: TBD

• 3rd/4th Grade:  TBD

• 5th/6th Grade: TBD

Game schedules will be distributed to 1st/2nd, 3rd/4th and 5th/6th grade divisions after teams have been set.
