ADULT FITNESS
Losing Inches Lunch Club
After much success with the first round, the YMCA will once again offer the Losing Inches Lunch Club. This 45 minute workout program, developed by a personal trainer, will put participants through a series of exercises which include circuit training, cardiovascular exercise, and free weight work all geared toward helping participants look and feel better!
The six week class meets every Monday and Wednesday at noon beginning June 16th. The program is limited to only ten participants so be sure to sign up early to ensure a spot! Registration begins on May 18th for members and May 21st for non-members. Cost for the program is $26.00 for members and $ 48.00 for non-members.
Early Bird Exercising
Having trouble sticking to your workout this summer? If you’re a morning person, the early bird exercise class can help! This 40 minute workout program, developed by a personal trainer, will put participants through a circuit of strength training and cardiovascular exercises, all geared toward helping participants look and feel great!
The six week class meets every Tuesday at 7:00 a.m. beginning July 1st! The program is limited to only ten participants so be sure to sign up early to ensure a spot! Registration begins on June 2nd for members and June 5th for non-members. Cost for the program is $20.00 for members and $ 38.00 for non-members.
Free Weights For Women
We are pleased to announce “Free Weights For Women” will be offered again this winter starting at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. The program will be a 5 week class meeting every Wednesday. The class will concentrate on teaching ladies free weight training exercises, geared specifically for women. Pre-registration is required and is due January 18th. The program is limited to only twelve participants so be sure to sign up early to ensure a spot! Registration begins on Monday, December 17th for members and Thursday, December 20th for non-members. Cost for the program is $15.00 for members and $32.00 for non-members.
Climb Mt. Everest!
The YMCA is thrilled to announce that we will offer the YMCA Mt. Everest Fitness program beginning October 22nd. This free fitness program will have participants ‘climb’ Mt. Everest by completing a specific amount of minutes exercised each week here at the YMCA. Those who complete the 10 week program will be eligible for a grand prize! Those who complete 7 out of the 10 weekly requirements will receive a free t-shirt. Registration will begin October 1st.
Fitness Assessments
How fit are you? The YMCA is excited to offer a new service this fall that can answer that question. Beginning November 13th the YMCA will offer Fitness Assessments every Tuesday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. for 7 weeks. These fitness assessments will test your strength, cardiovascular condition, and flexibility. Body fat testing will be included! Once the tests are administered a fitness coach will be on hand to give you advice and answer questions on how to improve. Cost is $10 for members and $20 for nonmembers.
