Friday Night Bingo
Adults of all ages are invited to a fun-filled night of bingo every third Friday at the Y. An entrée will be provided, but participants may bring a side dish or dessert to pass if they wish. Some prizes are provided, but anyone’s unwrapped ‘white elephant’ gift is appreciated. Come out and enjoy an evening of Bingo!

Scrapbook Crop
Come out to the Y on Saturday, February 4th from 8:00am – 5:00pm and participate in our first scrapbook crop of 2012! Whether a beginner or a seasoned scrapper, participants are invited to bring their photos to begin or complete their scrapbooking projects. You can come alone or with a group, and you are welcome regardless of your skill level! Laura Mitchell from “I’m a Scrapaholic II” will be on-hand to offer advice and tips on your projects. Cropping tools including the Cricut Expression and cartridges will be available for use. The Sizzix Big Shot Machine, another die-cutting and embossing tool, as well as the Scor-Pal Scoring Board, which can be used to quickly and accurately score paper to make greeting cards, will be available.
Please bring your own pictures, paper, stickers, adhesive, and other embellishments. We will provide a swap table for participants to drop off their unwanted supplies and exchange them for something else. If you’re not using it, perhaps someone else may be able to!
Program cost is $20 for Y members and $30 for non-members. Cost includes one table for each person, lunch, use of cropping tools, and light snacks. Participants under age 18 must attend with an adult. Participants must register prior to January 27th to reserve a table.
Y Crafters
Bring your latest craft project to the Y to work on or dust off one of those projects you’ve been meaning to finish. Whether it is scrapbooking, quilting, cross stitch, knitting, or other craft projects, each person will work on their own project. But be prepared to share your skills and ideas! Spacious room will allow you to layout quilts and assemble other projects. Find others with similar interests and enjoy meeting new friends while finishing your projects! Participants can bring a small snack to share if they wish.

Ask A Nurse
The Mt. Sterling Y and Janet Welty, Brown County Community Nurse, are offering a monthly ‘Ask-a-Nurse’ program for Y members. Welty, a certified community nurse, can serve as an entry point for people with medical concerns who aren’t sure what to do. She can perform mini-physicals, health monitoring, provide information regarding medications, as well as some hands-on nursing with a doctor’s order. She cannot write prescriptions and is not a nurse practitioner, but can make referrals.
